A new Time Machine !!

A momentary lapse of reason.  2015  SOLD.   Mixed media/Canvas 150X120cms  Journey to the Future For centuries, human beings have harbored the imagination and dreams of time travel. Various authors in literature and, notably, in cinema have woven tales of machines capable of transporting individuals to chosen dates in time. One such intriguing concept emerged from the Vatican, described by Father François Brune in his book "Le nouveau mystère du Vatican." According to him, a machine named "The Chronovisor" utilized electromagnetic radiation for time travel. Today, humanity has progressed beyond viewing comets as omens of disaster, understanding them as celestial bodies. Yet, we must not dismiss ancient civilizations that lacked knowledge of planets and gravitational movements. There were even ancient texts considered as "books written by the devil," predicting the future along the corridors of time. However, time travel is not confined to the realms of im

About the harassment of women and the case in my own family.

Amy and the Criminals Mixed/Canvas 107 X 81 cms  Acquired by Tax Administration Service in CDMX, MX Catalog:  0867_2021 Today, reading the news, I was once again surprised by the growing number of cases of violence against women, particularly the harassment that still persists in our streets even during times of confinement. A close friend and former student recently confirmed her increasing fear every time she has to go out at night to get coffee or any other item in her neighborhood. It's a fear that shouldn't exist, but what's even sadder is that it continues to be downplayed. The narrative remains the same as always, starting from our education, where it is not given enough importance, and everything is dismissed as "jokes" that are endorsed by a large, often familial, collective. It's crucial not to forget that the lack of education from parents is what leads to seeing sexism as natural, as sexist behavior is often taken lightly. Caribbean (Vinyl #1042020175121) Diameter: 121 cms Mixed media / canvas . SOLD In these times of quarantine, very human needs shine: eating, talking with family and friends, and also experiencing art. Suddenly, we find that music becomes essential to carry us through the day. We observe actors reciting the words of screenwriters in our favorite series, our preferred writers sharing a space in our recliner with the view of some art hanging on the wall, and then we realize our place in the universe. In another part of the world, a collector was scrolling through her social networks and stumbled upon the online gallery where she sells art. A painting of mine caught her attention, and this is typically the circuit through which I sell my work. However, there was a detail this time. You should know that the way I paint involves layers, layers that cover the previous ones but not entirely. They allow the first ones to be visible, and just as in life itself, it is the mixture of

Interview extract in 2018

It's been a while since I had forgotten about this, but I definitely take pleasure in keeping a journal so that it remains lost in the digital future—my thoughts and the trail continue to be tracked, at least as long as technology exists to read these things. After 2015, I spend my days working for Knotion, a company that produces educational content in digital format. Just last month, Eduardo Perez Arroyo conducted a very nice interview with me for the digital magazine e-knotion, where I talked a bit about my past. I'm copying it into this blog. Thank you Lalo Perez , Thank  Knotion.
