My Top 4 records !

Image
My Top 4 Records I’m making this post to answer a “coffee question” from my dad: What are my four favorite albums? Or rather, the most challenging ones I’ve come across. So I decided to treat this exercise somewhat formally, simply for the pleasure of doing it well. They’re not many, really, but they make up the soundtrack of my life. I’ll start with the four albums I would take with me to a desert island: 1.- Abbey Road . Formally, it’s the last studio album recorded by  the Beatles , since Let It Be was “shelved” amid various complications and released more as an epilogue.  I own several editions, and my favorite is the 2019 remastered version. I should add that the first time I went to London, my very first activity in the morning was to go a...

About my Notebooks

Image
The image above is from the year 2011 and captures the moment when I destroyed my notebooks containing notes and projects up until that year. I felt it was a point in my life when I needed to elevate my artistic processes and improve the way I developed my notes in my notebooks. Now, I am truly happy with the process and organization I maintain in my notebooks, and I have decided to digitize them to create a backup. I’m sharing one of them with you. Notebook 04. The Devourer of Alephs *JLB20231201  Mixed media / Wood 55 X 26 X 30 cms 2023 . . In honor to J.L. Borges The Aleph and Other Stories (Spanish: El Aleph, 1949) is a book of short stories by Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges . The title work, " The Aleph ", describes a point in space that contains all other spaces at once. The work also presents the idea of infinite time. Borges writes in the original afterword , dated May 3, 1949 (Buenos Aires), that most of the stories belong to the genre of fantasy , mentioning themes such as identity and immortality.  Borges added four new stories to the collection in the 1952 edition, for which he provided a brief postscript to the afterword. The story "La intrusa" (The Intruder) was first printed in the third edition of El Aleph (1966) and was later included in the collection El informe de Brodie (1970). [1]

Like an Antique ritual relics this is a metaphor from our innocent memories, friends and childhood plays. Around the 8th century BC, Nabu was the ancient Mesopotamian patron god of literacy, the rational arts, scribes, and wisdom. As the god of writing , Nabu inscribed the fates assigned to men.
