Simbiosis - Project of the Established Art Creators Incentive. 2014

In the year 2014, I was awarded the Established Creators Incentive, a grant that is part of FONCA/ICG.
"For a year, I was in the process of creating an installation called:" SIMBIOSIS.

"It was one of the last installations I carried out until this year 2020. The production of an exhibition that, as in this case, had elements of Augmented Reality, Temperature Sensors, Projections, and computing elements is quite complex. This is because various actors are required to monitor its development during the time of such an exhibition, and not many times there is the appropriate technical staff. The final presentation of this project went smoothly, and I thank all the staff of the Instituto de Cultura de Guanajuato as well as the Museo Olga Costa for all the invaluable support they offered me to achieve this exhibition."

"Objective: To present a multimedia installation that inspires reflection on our impact and influence as a species and as a possible type of bacteria on planet Earth, based on the interaction of the public and digital sensors. Final Installation: The multimedia installation will begin to behave directly proportional to changes in temperature and audio frequencies registered by the increasing number of spectators, 'contaminating' the atmosphere of the room."

Landscape and character graphics will begin to 'die,' ending their 'presence' but transitioning to another type of representation of 'life,' simulating organisms of particle-like nature that will interact with the walls of the venue, emulating population growth and scaling it in relation to the installation. Installation Elements: Body temperature sensors Audio sensors Augmented Reality.

As always, I thank Rafael Santillana for his help with the code, and on this occasion and Carlos Sánchez, who assisted me with the temperature sensor."
