My Top 4 records !

Image
My Top 4 Records I’m making this post to answer a “coffee question” from my dad: What are my four favorite albums? Or rather, the most challenging ones I’ve come across. So I decided to treat this exercise somewhat formally, simply for the pleasure of doing it well. First of all, I should say that I’m NOT a record collector; more than a music lover I’m an audiophile—and in that sense, a bit of a “hoarder.” I’ve never counted them (and I don’t intend to), but I’ll share a photo of what I have. They’re not many, really, but they make up the soundtrack of my life. I’ll start with the four albums I would take with me to a desert island: 1.- Abbey Road . Formally, it’s the last studio album recorded by  the Beatles , since Let It Be was “shelved” amid various complications and released more as an epilogue.  I own several editions, and my favorite is the 2019 remastered version. About my Notebooks

Image
The image above is from the year 2011 and captures the moment when I destroyed my notebooks containing notes and projects up until that year. I felt it was a point in my life when I needed to elevate my artistic processes and improve the way I developed my notes in my notebooks. Now, I am truly happy with the process and organization I maintain in my notebooks, and I have decided to digitize them to create a backup. I’m sharing one of them with you. Notebook 04. M20241217 Mixed media Canvas 200 X 140 centimeters (78 X 55 Inches) 2024 An ode to the Art Academy The “Mar I.A. ” collection is part of the  Punk-Baroque   series. This collection presents the same face from a reimagined portrait, a subject that might initially seem repetitive.  However, through the repeated recreation of this image, the artist seeks not only to revisit a moment in time but also to relive the experiences of their years as a student in Europe. These recreations explore how those formative experiences have blended with their native culture, forging a new identity in the present. This series employs simple materials, such as colored pencils and graphite on raw canvas, prepared with a single sealing layer, leaving behind fingerprints and other marks that reflect the process. In 1998, René Serrano captured a portrait of his friend Marie as part of his analog photography laboratory course. This portrait now serves as the foundation for a new composition, inte...

The Tree of Life is a symbol found across various religions and cultures, including Christianity, Judaism, Celtic traditions, and Turkish mythology. It can also represent the primal energies of creation and the cycles of life. The Tree of Life often features a tree trunk with branches that spread out and then return to the trunk. The trunk may symbolize the union between life and death, while the branches can represent the paths we take in life, all leading back to the trunk. Branc...
