About the harassment of women and the case in my own family.

A close friend and former student recently confirmed her increasing fear every time she has to go out at night to get coffee or any other item in her neighborhood. It's a fear that shouldn't exist, but what's even sadder is that it continues to be downplayed. The narrative remains the same as always, starting from our education, where it is not given enough importance, and everything is dismissed as "jokes" that are endorsed by a large, often familial, collective.It's crucial not to forget that the lack of education from parents is what leads to seeing sexism as natural, as sexist behavior is often taken lightly.
