This work is named: "The Relevance of the Beautiful"  Within this work, the silhouette of a chrysalis signifies a profound process of transformation and rebirth: the dissolution of the former self in order to allow the emergence of the new. Signs of life *SOL20251012 Mixed Media / Canvas 200 X 120 centimeters (79 X 47 Inches) 2025 I am sharing with you the second painting of my recent project "The Endless River," part of the PECDA "Established Artists Grant of Michoacán"  I am also taking this opportunity to share the status of my dissemination and the delivery of the PICS item, which still remains unanswered. I am concerned about the timeline, and given the situation, I am using this chance to share these concerns. Under the title "signs of life #SOL20251012," this new research piece deals with a selection of flora and fauna from the Lake Pátzcuaro region. The painting measures 200 X 120 centimeters (79 X 47 Inches) and is a mixed media on canvas. Thanks to the kind collaboration of Biologist Mtra. Signs of life * SOL20251102 ( Día de los muertos en Urandén ) Mixed Media / Canvas 200 X 140 cm (78 X 55 inches) 2025 ( The Endless River Project ) I Just finished the first painting of The Endless River Project! It’s an homage to Día de los Muertos here in México — more specifically, in Uranden, Michoacán , where I got married, as I mentioned in my last post. This large-format painting features a section intervened with gold leaf texture , evoking the underworld — the symbolic space of the spirits. The surface also includes a calligraphic intervention that conceals a secret poem, and is crowned with an orange band alluding to the cempasúchil flower and the candlelight that guides the return of souls during Día de Muertos . Originally, the project was conceived around the native flora of Lake Pátzcuaro . Hello There !!!! I must thank my country’s Ministry of Culture for awarding me the Established Artists Grant here in Michoacán . It’s a tremendous validation of my work as an artist—especially now,    In the months ahead, I’ll be creating a series of paintings inspired by the flora of Lake Pátzcuaro / Uranden , the backdrop for Michoacán’s traditional Night of the Dead . I’ve been captivated by this celebration since childhood—so much so that my wife and I married on November 2 , marking the occasion by sailing across the lake that night amid a raging storm. The original title of the project was " Antes de que nos olviden " , but I decided to change it to a name that feels more universal and more closely connected to the Day of the Dead celebrations. The name of the project is  " The Endless River Project " More updates on the project coming soon. Here i share with you some of my photos from the lake zone. I made a lot, this is a selection. 

The Warrior *N20241125 Mixed media / Canvas Diameter: 109 cm (43 inches)  2024 The painting series “The Warrior” draws its inspiration from a visit to the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City, where a reproduction of a “Chimalli” —a traditional Nahua shield—can be found on display. In Native American cultures, the concept of a "warrior" or "warriors" extends far beyond physical combat. It encompasses a deep spiritual and communal role, often involving protection, service, and the preservation of culture and traditions. A warrior is not just someone who fights, but someone who embodies strength, courage, and a commitment to the well-being of their people. The title is also a nod to the personal challenges we face in daily life and our need for healing. This research is about a passage of time in a person’s life that is often shaped by challenges, interactions and encounters.
